My Philosophy & Story

My Philosophy

Everyone deserves to feel good in their own skin whatever shape, size, or age. Whether you are interested in learning how to apply make up, ready for a head to toe transformation, or simply looking for natural and clean products - I’m here to help. You won’t find any high pressure sales techniques, just an opportunity to explore, learn and try.

For me, responsible beauty goes beyond just having clean ingredients. It’s not only about how products affect the user, but also how they affect the planet. I’m committed to selling high quality products that are sustainable throughout their product life cycle: from ingredient sourcing to packaging and shipping materials.

Products sold on my site are proudly made in Canada. They are cruelty-free, vegan and contain ethically sourced ingredients. This means no perfumes, fragrances, parabens, silicones, SLS, synthetic preservatives or petroleum by-products. The products I sell meet or surpass the strictest regulations in the world for cosmetics and skin care, the European Union’s Standards For Safety.

Third party certification ensures standards are upheld and include Cert Clean and the Leaping Bunny Program. Moor Spa is also a member of the Green Spa Network. Moor Spa products were also the first in the spa industry to switch to biodegradable packaging using D2W plastic technology.

My Story

In 1984 I attended a women's night at church where the speaker, an Image Consultant, showed us how wearing the right colours can make a difference in how we look and feel about ourselves and how we are seen by others. After her presentation I made an appointment to be colour draped and what I learned changed the trajectory of my career. Everyone has to wear clothes so why not buy what looks best on you?

In 1990 I founded my Healthy Beauty Studio after working as an Intensive Care nurse for 16 years. My goal was to teach others how to look good from head to toe. In 1994 I created Beauty Boot Camp, a summer day camp for girls ages 8-12 and in 1997 at the request of several parents I started Healthy Beauty Classes for teens.

After more than 35 years in business I still love meeting new clients and empowering people to become more confident versions of themselves.
